Jyotiraditya Scindia on how govt plans to give wings to the aviation sector

The central government is planning to increase the number of airports in India from 136 to 220 in the next five to seven years of time.

Union Civil Aviation ministry is planning a major expansion of India's aviation sector by doubling the number of airports in the country in the next five to seven years. Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said at an event that his ministry is aiming to increase the number of airports in the country from 136 to 220. He said during the past seven years of rule, the airports in the country were doubled and they planning to do the same during the next 7 years.
